Lex had a birthday! My baby is 22! I love her so much.
She just got a promotion in the US Navy! I am so thankful to have a niece who is so brave. I am thankful for everyone she works with and deals with day-to-day.
I pray for our soldiers, because no matter what their reason for joining the military, most of them end up very committed to protecting our country. They do what they are told. We must pray for their safety. Army, Airforce, Navy, Marines; we should be praying for our soldiers.
May God bless Alexis and all of the other soldiers who work so hard to protect our country from all types of threats every day.

My niece
She's a woman now! I miss Alexis so much. I can't wait to see her. I know it will be soon. She's such a brave young woman and I'm so proud to call her my niece. God bless her and the rest of the U.S. Armed Forces. Go Navy! Hold us down Lex. I love you!

I talked to Lex
I just talked my niece. She's in California getting ready to go out to sea. I'm glad it's not going to be for as long as I thought. She thinks I'm crazy for having this blog. She knows I love her though and I just need an outlet to help deal with missing her. This blog helps with that.
I'll sleep better because I spoke to her. I love her. She's some of my favorite stuff:)

Last time we were together...
This is the last time I was with Alexis. Alexis, me and my little cousin Toni were at my place after I did Alexis' hair. We love to goof around together.
Alexis always liked to spend time with me. We've been hanging together since she was a baby. She's always been very funny and outspoken. I was only around 16 years old when she was born, and I took her wherever I went. She was very popular around New Haven when she was a toddler. Everyone loved her!

Heard Her Voice
I just called Lex and got her voicemail:( Just hearing her voice is enough for me because I know she's OK, just working hard. She's three hours behind me in time-zones right now, so she's probably getting off work. She's probably getting ready to go out to sea. I told her the other day that I want her to hurry and go - since she must go - so that she can hurry and get back. I know God will be watching over her. She's a braveheart! Go Navy! God Bless the military!
I just miss her so much.
Thank you for your prayers. Prayer is powerful!

For My Niece
My smart, beautiful, loving niece is in the U.S. Navy and I miss her. This will be a diary of what it's like living without seeing her face everyday of my life. I really miss her a lot but I'm glad she's protecting our country - and you should all feel safer because of it! God bless her and the U.S. Armed Forces!
